What Are Hastelloy C22 UNS N06022 Pipe Fittings?

Hastelloy C22 pipe fittings are wrought nickel-chromium-molybdenum-tungsten buttweld fittings made to ASTM B366 / ASME SB366 — UNS designation N06022 — and dimensioned to ASME B16.9 and MSS SP-43. These are solution annealed by Metinox Overseas in sizes from 1/2 NPS to 24 NPS across all standard wall thickness profiles including Schedule 10S, 40S, 80S, and heavy-wall variations for elbows, tees, reducers, caps, stub ends and crosses. All fittings are marked with the weld class designation WPNCC22 and can be purchased either in a seamless or welded construction.

Unlike alternative standard nickel alloys, Hastelloy C22 fittings are specifically designed to withstand environments which have alternating oxidising and reducing conditions. The corrosion resistance to ferric chloride, wet chlorine, nitric acid, and hydrochloric acid is only found in one Hastelloy grade (C22) in one installation.
