Hastelloy C276 Pipe Fittings (UNS N10276) refers to nickel molybdenum chrome alloy pipe fittings that have been designed for extremely aggressive and high temperature uses. This alloy, which contains nickel, chrome, molybdenum and tungsten, has very high resistance to oxidation, reduction, pitting, crevice and stress corrosion cracking. These come in a variety of shapes, sizes seamless fittings from 1/2" to 10" and welded fittings from 1/2" to 48 and are in seamless and buttweld configurations, per ASTM B366. They have a high melting temperature typically above 1375°C, and possess good mechanical properties, which makes them a broad application in chemical processing, marine, oil & gas, heat exchanger applications etc. Metinox Overseas delivers precision-engineered Hastelloy C276 fittings with strict quality control and reliable performance.

| Service Media | Concentration (Weight %) | Temperature | Mean Corrosion Rate (mpy) | Service Suitability & Engineering Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Acetic Acid | 99% | Boiling | < 1 | Excellent resistance; highly stable in organic acid environments. |
| Ferric Chloride | 10% | Boiling | 2 | Excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in severe chloride solutions. |
| Formic Acid | 88% | Boiling | 2 | Excellent resistance under elevated organic acid conditions. |
| Sulfuric Acid (H2SO4) | 50% | 66°C (150°F) | 4 | Highly resistant; strong performance across intermediate concentrations. |
| Hydrochloric Acid (HCl) | 1% | Boiling | 10 | Good resistance; maintains reliable performance under dilute, boiling reducing conditions. |
| Nitric Acid + 6% HF | 5% | 60°C (140°F) | 207 | ⚠ NOT RECOMMENDED. This unusually high rate (5.26 mm/year) is standard for strongly oxidizing acid mixtures. Data shown for reference only — consult manufacturing engineers for specific media suitability. |
