What Is ASTM A815 S32760?

ASTM A815 S32760 pipe fittings are wrought super duplex stainless steel butt-weld fittings made in accordance with ASTM A815 which is the Standard Specification for Wrought Ferritic, Ferritic/Austenitic, and Martensitic Stainless Steel Piping Fittings. The grade is only specified by its UNS number S32760 in ASTM A815 Table 1 and the trade name "Zeron 100" is not cited anywhere in the ASTM A815 text. This difference is an important procurement risk. If the buyer specifies "Zeron 100 fittings to ASTM A815", he or she should ensure the Mill Test Report (MTR) contains the designation "ASTM A815 WP S32760" and not the trade name. With the UNS designation and ASTM standard reference omitted from the MTR, the product is non-conforming to ASTM A815 requirements, and will be a failure for third-party document review on offshore and process-industry projects.
