Metinox Overseas is a leading manufacturer and supplier of high-performance ASTM A234 WP5 pipe fittings manufactured under strict adherence to ASME B16.9 parameters. Our WP5 alloy steel fittings (5Cr-0.5Mo nominal composition) are used in high temperature, high pressure refinery applications, chemical processing units and utility boiler piping systems and offer superior structural integrity. This particular grade resists high-temperature sulfidation, hydrogen attack and naphthenic acid corrosion in extreme service conditions. Our WP5 precision-manufactured wrought alloy steel fittings are delivered with a standard Class 1 heat-treatment control (fully annealed or normalized and tempered). This will provide a minimum tensile strength of 415MPa and a minimum yield strength of 205MPa, which is in line with the stringent safety requirements of ASME B31.3 Process Piping codes. All components are supplied with full material traceability, including certified EN 10204 3.1 Mill Test Reports (MTRs) and third-party NDT verification logs.

ASTM A234 WP5 pipe fittings are chromium-molybdenum alloy steel fittings used for high-temperature and pressure piping systems.
WP5 is equivalent to ASTM A335 P5 alloy steel, both having similar chromium-molybdenum composition and properties.
It mainly contains carbon, manganese, silicon, chromium (4–6%), and molybdenum (0.45–0.65%).
WP9 has higher chromium content than WP5, offering better corrosion resistance and higher temperature strength.
WP5 is suitable for moderate to high temperatures, typically up to around 600°C.
They are used in industries like power plants, refineries, and chemical plants for high-temperature and pressure piping systems.
