SS 316Ti Welded pipes are very pitting and crevice corrosion resistant within the chloride containing environment. They can resist sulphuric, hydrochloric, and formic acids. They can easily be welded using conventional fusion procedures. Heat treatment is not necessary after cold working. Heat treatment is not possible to harden this material. However, there is a possibility to increase strength and hardness through cold working. As such, Stainless Steel 316Ti Welded pipes can be commonly used in chemical processing plants, oil, gas, electricity production, heat transfer applications, as well as ship components.
