Cupro Nickel 70/30 Hot Finished Tubes & Pipes are formed using a superlative copper-nickel alloy that is approximately 30 percent nickel, 70 percent copper, with precise additions of iron and manganese for enhanced corrosion resistance in a more rugged environment. This alpha alloy remains unaffected in higher velocities, contaminated, or service-loaded waters, unaffected by stress corrosion cracking attacks. Cupro 70/30 retains high material strength in somewhat higher temperature conditions and can be easily deformed for cold as well as hot working processes. It is also easy to weld, with good service life in water or industrial liquids.
Metinox Overseas supplies seamless, welded, ERW, and EFW Cupro Nickel 70/30 pipes and tubes that are ideal for harsh applications. These are commonly used in ship-building applications, desalination plants, heat exchanger applications, condensers, offshore piping installations, and seawater cooling circuits. In salt water, Cupro Nickel 70/30 tubes possess better corrosion resistance because of their neutral electrode potential compared to other copper-alloyed materials. These are also used in chemical processing applications, petrochemical installations, electrical installations, minting applications, and specialized shipping applications such as propellers and piping sets. Cupro Nickel 70/30 pipes and tubes possess excellent durability, thermal conductivity, and are not prone to biological fouling.

The production of Cupro Nickel 70/30 pipes and tubes is performed in the controlled and systematic way to provide high resistance to sea water corrosion, erosion, and biofouling. The alloy is made of copper and nickel, which has great mechanical strength, thermal efficiency as well as long-term durability, especially in marine and offshore conditions.
Cupro Nickel 70/30 pipes and tubes are also commonly applied in industries with the need of superb corrosion resistance, life and performance in austere operating conditions. They have low maintenance and long service life thus ideal to be applied in critical applications.
Cupro Nickel 70/30 pipes and tubes are copper-nickel alloy pipes containing 70% copper and 30% nickel, known for excellent corrosion resistance, high strength, and durability in seawater and industrial applications.
Cupro Nickel 70/30 has higher nickel content than 90/10, making it stronger, more resistant to seawater corrosion, and suitable for higher temperature applications, while 90/10 is more cost-effective and used for moderate environments.
Yes, Cupro Nickel 70/30 pipes are widely used in marine applications because they resist corrosion, biofouling, and erosion in seawater systems, shipbuilding, and offshore structures.
Their high nickel and copper content forms a protective surface layer, which prevents corrosion, reduces pitting, and inhibits the growth of marine organisms.
Yes, Cupro Nickel 70/30 pipes are easily welded, formed, and fabricated using standard industrial processes while maintaining their corrosion resistance and mechanical strength.
