SS 347 and SS 347H both are types of austenitic stainless steel. They are such amazing alloys that their addition in different industrial products provides some advantageous properties. Properties like fantastic resistance in a strong oxidizing environment, a good resistance to corrosion, also has resistance over intergranular corrosion even at higher temperature ranges of approximately 427-816 degrees Celsius. They both are almost similar to each other the, the only difference is in the carbon content. SS 347H Seamless Tubing contains more of carbon than SS 347. In this, by the addition of columbiumthe alloy is stabilized. Moreover, the corrosion resistance of SS 347 is greater in comparison to SS 321. This material at high temperatures provides good mechanical properties.
It can be used in wide applications and industries like dairy processing, chemical industries, petrochemical industries, pulp and paper industries, oil and gas industries, water processing, offshore and onshore applications, fertilizer industries, power plants, wastewater treatment plants, and many more.
SS 347 Seamless Tubing is made up of special type of stainless steel where it is hardened by using the precipitation techniques. Stainless steel tubes are more special in comparison to the other ones as it offers excellent corrosion resistance. The grade SS 347H Seamless Tubing is tougher than 347 ones because of the presence of more carbon content in it. There are different benefits of using them in the industries for various applications that include resistance to corrosion, sustainability at high temperature, good resistance towards intergranular corrosion and strong resistance towards higher oxidizing environments. They can also be used in fields where some mild acids and diluted acids are used or formed as this offers resistance to damage from certain acids. Also, it can be bent, welded and formed as per the requirement and then can avail it to the customers in different sizes, shapes, diameters etc. Several tests are performed that include hardness test, metallurgic tests, tension test, material testing, corrosion resistance test, quality testing etc.
