347 Stainless Steel Pipe is a corrosion-resistant and heat-resistant pipe made from grade 347 stainless steel. This particular grade of stainless steel is characterized by its high chromium and nickel content, along with the addition of columbium/tantalum, which provides enhanced resistance to intergranular corrosion and oxidation in high-temperature environments. These pipes and tubes exhibit exceptional heat resistance, maintaining their mechanical properties at elevated temperatures.

ASME SA312 Stainless Steel TP347H Pipes are easily weldable and can be welded using various welding techniques without the risk of intergranular corrosion or sensitization. The addition of columbium/tantalum in 347 stainless steel helps prevent intergranular corrosion, making these pipes ideal for applications where exposure to corrosive substances is a concern.
Since 347 stainless steel is specifically designed to resist intergranular corrosion, specialized tests are performed to confirm its resistance to this type of corrosion. NDT(Non-Destructive Testing) methods like ultrasonic testing, radiographic testing, and dye penetrant testing are employed to detect any surface or subsurface defects in the pipes without causing damage to the material.
