Metinox Overseas is an internationally established Stainless Steel 304H EFW Pipe Manufacturer, which offers high-carbon alloy solutions to the high temperature services. The 304H EFW Pipe Stainless Steel is a special pipe that is designed to be used in those applications where high temperature and creep strength are important. The 304H grade was manufactured to the ASTM A358 standard and has a superior content of carbon (0.04-0.10) than the standard SS 304 EFW pipe, which has superior strength at high temperatures above 1000F (537C). The pipes are commonly used in petroleum refineries, boiler tubes and heat exchangers whose structural integrity is most important. The Electric Fusion Welding (EFW) process ensures that the large diameter pipes have a uniform wall thickness and weld integrity. Being a major supplier, Metinox Overseas offers Class 1 to Class 5 pipes with the 100 percent radiography test. The 2026 energy infrastructure modernization increases demand of our products in the USA and Europe. As the Middle East adds more capacity to petrochemicals, our 304H pipes have the mechanical performance and resistance to corrosion of the extreme thermal conditions.
It should start with production of ingots out of the raw material. The second process entails the preparation of welded pipe of specifications required using skelp. The pipe was unwound with the help of the unwinding machines and then a heating process took place. It passes through grooved rollers causing the edges to curve. The unwelded pipe is then welded by use of welding electrodes. This tightens the weld in which case the ends are tightened with pressure. It is further processed to make sure that it finally produces SS 304H EFW Pipes.
The grade 304H contributes the properties to the EFW pipes. The pipes have high carbon content which increases their resistance against heat. It increases the yield strength, the short and long term creep strength of the pipes. It is against this reason that the EFW pipes are not only versatile but also cost effective. The general purpose use of EFW pipes is appropriate due to the corrosion resistance nature of its use. These properties on the pipes owe to the chemical composition. It is an all rounder pipe due to the mechanical resistance, heat bearing ability, weldability, oxidation resistance as well as corrosion resistance.
The SS 304H EFW Pipes are significant in their uses in automobile, industrial production, and construction among others. The most common area of applications is in home and commercial applications.

Stainless Steel 304H EFW (Electric Fusion Welded) Pipes are designed with the purpose of high stress environments in which high temperatures are a part of the regularity. These pipes have a high carbon content, which results in a much better creep strength and mechanical stability compared to normal 304 or 304L grades.
In common use in boilers, superheater tubes and high pressure steam lines where temperatures go above 500C.
The petroleum refineries are needed in thermal crackers, catalytic reforming units, and piping systems in high temperatures, which deal with hydrocarbons.
These are used in heat exchanger and reactor vessel applications in which structural integrity is needed under thermal cycling.
ASTM A358 TP304H is also a good choice of large-diameter shell and tube heat exchanger due to its high thermal conductivity and resistance to oxidation.
Utilized in equipment which is applied in transporting high temperature organic and inorganic chemicals.
This is used in incineration units and thermal oxidation systems in which heat resistance is needed along with a moderate level of corrosion resistance.
In components of the furnace and in high-heat gaskets which work at the carbide precipitation range.

The first one is the carbon content. The carbon content of SS 304H is more (0.04-0.10%), and offers superior mechanical and creep strength at temperatures beyond 1000C than the standard 304 grade.
Electric Fusion Welding (EFW) process enables one to create large-diameter pipes (greater than 24") using high-quality plates. Uniform wall thickness and 100-percent radiography of the weld are attained, which is why it is ideal when 304H is needed in the high-pressure, high-temperature service.
Yes. We offer 100% radiography testing (depending on the Class requested, namely, Class 1 and Class 3 of ASTM A358) as the means to make sure that the weld has no defects and can withstand the most extreme industrial loads.
304H is a high temperature-optimized austenitic steel though; it is well tough at low temperatures. But, in the case of exclusive cryogenic operation, SS 304L is normally used to preclude a possibility of carbide development.
It will be a matter of pressure rating and inspection criteria of your project. Class 1 is the harshest (doubled welded: 100 percent radiography), and Class 2 is dual welded without radiography. Get the advice of our technical staff on the correct class to use in your application.
