317/317L Stainless Steel Pipe Manufacturing, Fabrication & Quality Assurance
Annealing may be used during fabrication of Stainless Steel 317 and 317L pipes used in cold working so as to ease work hardening and eliminate cracking. Hot working like forging operations are expected to be performed following the uniform heating in the temperature range of 1149 �C and 1260 �C. With SS 317L ERW pipes, internal stresses and the optimum corrosion resistance is obtained by full solution annealing of the pipes after fabrication. SS 317 and 317L EFW pipes have their low carbon content, which creates high strength, as well as durable welds and retain high mechanical strength.
The sale of Stainless Steel 317 / 317L pipes at Metinox Overseas has conformed to the international standards such as ASTM A312, ASTM A358 and ASME SA312. The pipes come in 1/2 inch NB up to 16 inch NB and customized pipes can also be provided on demand. Usual grades of materials used are UNS S31700 and UNS S31703. Inspections by third parties are carried out when needed and the completed pipes are packed well in wooden crates where they are safe to be delivered.
