Sockolet is one of the types of branch fitting. Nowadays, instead of conventional fitting, branch fitting is used widely because of its various advantages. The advantages are like in this process, the flow is fully unrestricted, due to the funnel design, just 2 welds are needed, instead of 3, therefore, it offers less work and weld inspections, and also the less space is required, making the piping system design more flexible.
