Copper Nickel 7030 High-performance copper-nickel alloy, which is made of 70 percent copper and 30 percent nickel, is specifically designed and engineered to exhibit exceptional resistance to corrosion, biofouling, erosion and chloride-contaminated environments of the seawater. The alloy has been found to be very reliable in the marine, offshore and coastal industries because of its high mechanical strength, thermal conductivity and its long term strength. Copper Nickel 70/30 Flanges are suitable where the piping systems have structural integrity needs, have resistance to corrosion and a long life of service. Their performances are very high in salty, saline, and chemically hostile environments and thus they are very dependable and leak free when deployed in shipbuilding, offshore drilling, desalination facilities, power units, heat exchangers, cooling water units, oil and gas plants, and coastal industrial infrastructures.
The Copper Nickel 70/30 flanges are produced based on the ASTM B466 / UNS C71500 standards, where forged and rolled copper-nickel alloy is used in order to produce the high-performance piping systems. This is further reinforced by the higher nickel percentage over 90/10 that also raises the resistance to corrosion in extreme marine and industrial environments, biofouling resistance and gives great mechanical and thermal stability. These flanges are made to suit and are specifically made to suit systems that are subjected to seawater and moisture and other hostile ocean conditions. Copper Nickel 70/30 flanges find extensive use in maritime pipelines, offshore facilities, desalination systems, shipbuilding systems, coastal generating plants, marine heat exchangers, condensers and offshore oil and gas installations where the factors of durability, corrosion resistance, and long service life are of prime importance.
