Alloying elements in these pipes are meant to produce solid solutions, compounds or carbides, which in their own way play a significant role in the metallurgical performance of the material. These alloying elements too influence eutectoid temperature of the Alloy Steel P91 seamless pipes. Manganese and nickel are considered as austenite stabilizers, that is, they reduce the eutectoid temperature; and when they are present in adequate concentrations, they permit the austenitic structure of Alloy Steel P91 pipes to be stable even at room temperature. In heavy and crude oil conditions, pipes of the P91 alloy steel may experience the deposition of complex organic compounds, which may cause severe problems to the functioning of the pipes such as the decreasing flow rate and the possibility of the blockage of the pipeline.
